Mixcraft (www.acoustica.com) is the best software I've found. it does everything and is very easy to use. It has a very short learning curve and the website has great video tutorials. You can download a fully functional demo for fee. Cost is $65.

I 've used Cakewalk, Acid, and ProTools LE. Mixcraft is way better.

Acoustica will release version 5 next month. They offer free updates.

Looks good

That looks like a nice package. I've been using Audacity which has a key advantage of being free, but is missing a few things that I would very much like, such as MIDI support as found in Acoustica. Do you have any material that you've put together by way of a demo? Right now the site only supports MP3 and WAV. Not even sure how I'd support MIDI but I'll take a look and see if there's a way to do it.
